When the women walk out from the kitchen

I dated a good friend of mine to chat over a cup of tea at her house, a day after the 'election'. Joining us was another friend of hers who was just 'lost' in the 'election' last night. She was quite upset. " It must be a foul play, everybody say so, in fact someone saw it...it was red ticket...mine ticket. " The story about 'the red ticket' was going too far, added more and more to the matter was from one witness increase to three! More and more people claimed that they 'saw' it. I was one of the witness at the counting parlour, it was perfect last night. No foul play! But to speak the truth at this moment was dangerous! I was afraid they might brand me ' people from the other side' and no more friend with me. I don't want to lose any friends at this age. Friendship is so important to me nowaday. I joined the"party' with a genuine heart, thinking that with my professional skill I might be able to render my service, meantime I'll make more friends. But I was wrong. Since last night I lost most of my friends, they were at war! They walked away from me as though I was their enemy. It looked like we were fighting over 'life and death' matter. I was wondering, why? So, after that night, the women split into two groups. The end results was lose-lose situation because we were no more friends. I was wandering how these people going to be good leaders with their shallow mentality.
The 'election' was over. Its time to get back to the team because we belong to the same 'party' . I hope for the ladies, don't be too serious about the war. Sometimes we must stop and ask ourselves : What's the most important things in our life. What's make our life happy. What's your priority. And the women who walked out from the kitchen must remember to come home, our family is waiting for us because they need us most.

I enjoy reading your articles. You are a true honest social worker. Maybe you ahould comment on the recent Kuantan MCA election for the our knowledge as a non-partisan. I believe you are more objective and influential.
